Panel Discussion on Economic Opportunities in the Quad Framework

  • 30 Sep, 2021
  • 07:00 PM - 08:00 PM

The first in-person Quad Leaders’ Summit was held in Washington D.C. on September 24th, 2021, in which Prime Minister Scott Morrison of Australia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, and Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga of Japan were hosted by U.S. President Joseph R. Biden at the White House.

The Quadrilateral or “Quad” is a strategic, non-military alliance between the United States, Japan, Australia, and India. The dialogue was initiated in 2007 based on a shared vision of security and prosperity in a free, open, inclusive and resilient Indo-Pacific.  Since 2017, the Quad partnership has evolved significantly into a multifaceted partnership aimed to foster practical cooperation on a panorama of contemporary global issues.
